Daily Beauty Maintenance Routine:
Floss and brush teeth
I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day and floss every night. Flossing will help reach all of the places in between your teeth that a toothbrush can’t and prevent plaque from building up on your gumline. I love a clean and bright smile so flossing is a must!
Exfoliate lips
I love these exfoliating lip brushes to keep my lips soft and smooth. Before applying chapstick or lipgloss in the morning, I use these brushes to scrub any dead skin off gently.
Wash and moisturize face
Every morning and night, I wash and moisturize my face and neck.
Apply sunscreen
I’ve been using this sunscreen for a year now, and I like that it has a tint to it and makes my skin glow.
Before leaving the house, I apply sunscreen to my face and neck.
30 minutes of movement
I feel my best when I move my body for at least 30 minutes a day, even if it’s just going for a walk or doing some stretches.
Shower and moisturize body
I always end my day with a full-body shower to wash off the day and moisturize before putting on my pajamas and getting ready for bed.
Drink 64oz of water
This water bottle makes it easy to make sure you drink enough water. It holds 32 ounces and has time stamps.
I fill up my water bottle every night before bed, so I have it ready to drink as soon as I wake up.
Weekly Beauty Maintenance Routine:
File and paint nails
I do my nails at home, and I like to keep my nails short so I file them every week and repaint them.
I also like to use these nail stickers when I don’t feel like painting my nails – they last up to two weeks and look so good!
Pluck eyebrows
My eyebrows grow back fast, so I pluck them a couple of times a week to keep them looking neat.
Remove any unwanted facial hair
I use Nair Hair Remover Face Cream to remove any hair on my upper lip every week and a half.
Oil scalp
I massage oil into my scalp and hair a couple of hours before I wash it to moisturize it. I like to do this every Sunday since I don’t have to leave the house.
Wash and condition hair
I wash and condition my hair three times a week.
Shave arms, legs, and bikini area
Every other day I shave my legs since the hair grows back fast, and I shave my arms once a week or so.
Exfoliate body and face
Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells and prevents clogged pores. I like to use a salicylic acid wash to exfoliate my body and face 2-3 times a week. Exfoliating my skin makes it look smoother and less dull.
Monthly Beauty Maintenance Routine:
Wax underarms
Whenever I would shave my underams they looked dark and I would get ingrown hairs, so I started waxing them instead. I’ve been waxing my underarms for about six months, and I love it. My underarms are lighter and smoother since I started waxing, and the hair takes much longer to grow.
I use these wax strips
Pedicure
I give myself a full pedicure at home twice a month. I trim and file my nails, push my cuticles back, and paint my toenails. In the shower, I use a pumice stone to remove dry skin, and I add a foot cream after I shower to keep my feet soft.
Whiten teeth
I’ve been using these whitening strips since I was a teenager, and they really work! I use these every few months (and follow the directions on the box) to keep my teeth looking white.
Beauty Maintenance Routine Tips:
Write down and schedule your beauty maintenance
Write down your beauty maintenance routine in a notebook or phone so it is organized and you remember how often you want to complete each beauty task. Next, add your beauty routine checklist to your calendar. For example, every Sunday you put on a face mask and paint your nails.
Make it fun
Beauty maintenance is a form of self-care, so romanticize it! You could listen to your favorite playlist while going for a walk or watch a movie while painting your nails. Pairing your beauty tasks with something you enjoy will help it not feel like a chore.
Customize your beauty routine
A beauty routine is not one size fits all! Stick to the beauty habits that make you feel your best. Don’t feel obligated to do certain beauty tasks just because someone else does. There are so many beauty maintenance routines on the internet, and it can feel overwhelming. So I want to remind you to use this beauty maintenance schedule as a guide to create your own, but tailor it to what feels best for you.
