7 Day Self Care Challenge Ideas:
Day 1 Self Care Idea: Clean your home
Did you know that the cleanliness of your home can impact your mental health? According to Very Well Mind, clutter and mess can contribute to depression, stress, anxiety, and even decreased focus.
Dedicate one day to cleaning up and getting your home in order. I always feel more productive and less stressed when my home is tidy.

Day 2 Self Care Idea: Create and follow daily routines
Daily routines can be beneficial and are associated with less stress, better sleep, better health, and more happiness overall.
The best way to create a routine is to write it down, keep it simple, and include things you enjoy. For example, you could listen to your favorite songs while you cook breakfast. Pairing tasks you have to do with things you enjoy will make it easier (and more enjoyable) to complete tasks in your day-to-day routine.
Day 3 Self Care Idea: Get better sleep
Getting an adequate amount of sleep is important for your physical and mental health along with your overall well-being. It is recommended that adults get between 7 – 9 hours of sleep per night.
Try to get to bed earlier if you aren’t getting at least 7 hours of sleep a night. You will notice a difference in how you feel when you are well-rested.
Day 4 Self Care Idea: Treat yourself with kindness
Be kind to yourself, think nice thoughts about yourself, and give yourself compassion.
There is always an emphasis on being nice to others, but I want to challenge you to extend that kindness to yourself. Practice saying or thinking positive affirmations, such as I love myself, I am enough, and I deserve good things.
Many benefits come with self-compassion including greater life satisfaction, and less anxiety and self-criticism.
Day 5 Self Care Idea: Go outside
Get some fresh air by going on a nature walk. The National Park Service states that walking in nature for just 30 minutes can boost your immune system and reduce inflammation.
You could take a walk around your local park or neighborhood.
Day 6 Self Care Idea: Spend time with people you love
Some benefits of connecting with friends include an increased sense of belonging, happiness, less stress, and more self-confidence.
Call your favorite friend or loved one and spend some time together.
Day 7 Self Care Idea: Journal
Journaling can help you boost your emotional intelligence, improve mental health, and even inspire creativity.
Grab a notebook and start journaling your thoughts. Journaling has helped me clear my mind and feel less stressed in bad situations, so it is one of my favorite self care activities.
