This post is all about simple and fun quiet time activities for toddlers who refuse to nap.
Has your toddler recently given up naps?
I understand what you are going through because my 4-year-old has completely stopped taking naps.
Many moms (myself included) use nap time to get things done around the house or for some time alone.
Naptime gives parents a well-needed break, so it is helpful to fill nap time with quiet activities once your toddler has stopped taking naps.
Simple quiet time activities for toddlers are a great way to let your child explore their creativity and play independently.
This list of fun quiet time activities for toddlers will keep your toddler occupied and give you some time to yourself.

FUN AND SIMPLE QUIET TIME ACTIVITIES FOR TODDLERS:
1. Magnetic Building Tiles
Both of my children are obsessed with building things, and these magnetic tiles keep them occupied for hours. This is a fun way to let your child practice their fine motor skills and creativity.
Side note: These do contain magnets (which are a choking hazard), so you should supervise your toddler while they play with them.
2. Legos
Legos are another great activity to keep your toddler busy!
I recommend large Legos for toddlers (click to view on Amazon) because they make it easier for little hands to hold and take apart. I also like the large Legos for independent play because you don’t have to worry about your toddler swallowing one.
3. Wooden Peg Puzzles
Another one of my favorite quiet time ideas for toddlers is to have them do puzzles.
These Melissa & Doug puzzles (click to view on Amazon) keep my toddler busy during quiet time.
I find wooden peg puzzles are the easiest for independent play. The wooden pegs make it easy for toddlers to grab the puzzle pieces.
Tip: During quiet time only bring out puzzles your child is familiar with and can do on their own, so they don’t end up frustrated.
4. Workbooks
Workbooks are a great educational activity for toddlers to do during quiet time. I love dry erase workbooks because you can use them over and over again. I also stock up on pre-school workbooks from Target’s Dollar Spot and The Dollar Tree to have more options.
5. Blocks
Building blocks are another fun and simple activity for toddlers to do during nap time. My toddler loves building with blocks and knocking them down; it keeps her busy for hours.
6. Coloring Books
Coloring books are a must-have for all toddlers.
This is one of my go-to quiet activities for toddlers because it doesn’t create a big mess, and coloring books are inexpensive.
7. Watch A Show
When all else fails, and you need a break (or have to get work done) put on a show to keep your toddler busy.
I wrote a post on the best educational shows for kids on Netflix you can read it here.
BONUS TIP: Pick 2 to 3 of these quiet activities for your toddler to do during nap time, so your child can have options to choose from.
