So you want to achieve your goals, but you struggle with motivation? Well, don’t worry, you came to the right place. I have been there too.
As a mom of two small children, I struggled with motivation. I had a lot of goals I wanted to achieve (like working out 5 days a week and starting a blog), but I lacked energy and inspiration.
In my experience, getting started is the hardest part. I finally started working on my goals, and I am still going strong over a year later. I am going to share all of my best tips and tricks to stay motivated when you feel like giving up.

My best tips to stay motivated and achieve your goals:
Tip #1: Make your goal clear
Think about your exact goal and write it down. Make the goal you want to achieve as clear as possible.
Having a clear goal will make it easier to stay motivated because you know exactly what you want to accomplish.
Tip #2: Know why you want to achieve your goal
Just like you did with tip #1, write down exactly why you want to achieve your goal. Write down how you will feel once you achieve your goal and the exact reason you want to make this goal happen.
For example, let’s say your goal is to start your own business. Your why could be because you are miserable at your job, and you want more control over your time and money.
Try to make your why as specific as possible, so you can go back and remind yourself what you are working towards when you feel like giving up.
Tip #3: Look at your goal every day
If you want to know how to stay motivated every day, this is the tip for you.
You can write your goal down on paper and hang it on your bathroom mirror, or take a picture and set it as your screen saver.
The important thing is to write down your goal and the reason you want to achieve it, and then look at it every single day. This will constantly remind you what you are working towards and help keep you motivated.
Tip #4: Research and plan
Once you have done #1 – #3, it is time to research and plan. I use Google and youtube to research and learn how to do almost everything.
Once again, write down what you need to do to achieve your goal. I stress the importance of writing things down because it will save you time, and you won’t forget what you already took the time to learn.
You can keep your notes as a guide on what to do when you feel lost or confused in your journey to reach your goal.
Tip #5: Follow, listen, and watch motivational content
One of my best tips to stay motivated is to follow, listen, and watch people who have already achieved the goal you want to achieve.
You can find people on Instagram, listen to podcasts, or watch youtube videos. Hearing and watching success stories can be inspiring and motivating.
This is how I stay motivated when I feel like giving up.
Tip #6: Plan for off days
Plan to have days when you don’t feel motivated, and be okay with that. No one feels motivated 100% of the time. You can still work towards what you want to achieve when you don’t feel motivated.
Also, don’t be afraid to take a day or two off from working hard. I have learned taking a break when I need one is refreshing and necessary.
Taking days off will help prevent burnout and keep you motivated in the long run.
Tip #7: Don’t give up
Don’t give up on a goal you are passionate about. Learn from your mistakes and keep going.
