This post is all about how to get your life together.
Are you looking for tips and motivation to get your life together? This post is for you!
I have been on a journey to better myself and get my life together. I am a mom to two kids, and for the past 9 years, I have been in mom survival mode. If you have kids, you probably know what I mean – surviving off of little sleep, having little time to myself, and always being needed. My kids are out of the toddler stage now and need me a little less (just a little, ha).
I actually have some time to focus on myself again, now that my kids are getting older. I have made it a priority to take better care of myself and become the best version of myself. In this post, I am going to share some tips and motivation about how you can restart and get your life together too.

How To Get Your Life Together:
1. Practice Self Love
Stop talking bad about yourself! Treat yourself with love and kindness – like someone you care about. It has become so normal to speak badly about ourselves and say things we would never say to another person to ourselves. But, it has to stop! If you tell yourself you are incapable of great things, you will never even try or give yourself a chance at getting it all together.
Starting now, focus on how you think and speak about yourself – try to make your self-talk and thoughts more positive. Journaling about my positive qualities and gratitude has helped me a lot in this area.
2. Create Routines That Work For You
A good routine can be life-changing! I know from experience, that following routines help you stay on top of your life and build better habits. According to Web MD, the benefits of having a routine include less stress, better sleep, better health, and more happiness overall.
I swear by routines, and the best advice I can give you when it comes to creating a routine is to keep it simple, include things you enjoy, and write it down! Writing down your routine will help you remember it, and it will serve as a visual reminder.
Here is an example of my morning routine:
- wake up
- stretch for a few minutes
- wash up, brush teeth, and get dressed
- make breakfast for my kids
- drink coffee and read or listen to music (something I enjoy)
It is important to include a mix of things you have to do and things you enjoy, so you look forward to doing your routine. Also, keeping your routines simple makes them easier to stick with.
I highly recommend reading the book Atomic Habits if you struggle with creating good habits and routines. I learned so much useful information from reading it and recommend it to everyone.
3. Indulge In Self Care
Taking care of yourself is a must! If you want to feel your best and get things done, make sure you are one of your top priorities. One of the main things I focused on when trying to better myself was self-care, and it transformed my life.
I’ll admit it wasn’t easy to make myself a priority, as a mom, but once I started focusing on my well-being my sense of self improved tremendously. Self care doesn’t have to be fancy – think of things that bring you joy and make you feel taken care of.
4. Get Organized
Organization is key when it comes to getting your life together. The top ways I stay organized are decluttering often, writing things down (from budgets to routines) I write everything down, following routines, and preparing for things ahead of time.
I also use this fridge calendar to write down important dates, events, or appointments. It really helps me stay organized.
5. Consistency Is Key
When it comes to getting your life together, consistency is key.
The more you do something, the easier it will get. I highly encourage you to stay consistent and not give up when it comes to becoming who you want to be. Give yourself time, and take a break when needed, but always start again! Focus on progress over perfection.
I hope you found these tips helpful and motivating!
