School Emergency Kit Essentials:
A list of school emergency bag essentials.
1. Hand Sanitizer
Your child touches many things throughout the day and may have to share supplies that many hands have touched. Hand sanitizer is a must-have for your child’s school kit!
The kids love these spray hand sanitizers—they are convenient for quickly sanitizing hands, and they smell amazing!
2. Tissues
Whether it’s allergy season or your child is getting over a cold, tissues are always a good item to have handy!
3. Deodorant
If you are putting together an emergency school kit for a teen or tween, deodorant is a good item to pack, especially if they play sports or have P.E. class.
4. Lotion
Having a hand lotion in the kit will make it convenient for your child to moisturize their hands when they are dry or after applying hand sanitizer.
5. Glasses Wipes
If your child wears prescription glasses, these wipes are a lifesaver! These pre-moistened lens wipes come in individual packs, so you can easily throw a few in your child’s kit – they make it easy to clean any smudges or dirt that gets on their glasses throughout he day.
My daughter wears glasses, and she says these are so helpful to have during school.
6. Band Aids
You never know when your child will need a Band-Aid, and some schools don’t always give them out, so I like to pack my kids a few in their emergency kit just in case they or a friend needs one.
7. Pads
If your child gets a period, pads are a must-have emergency kit item! I’d make sure to pack a generous amount of pads or tampons along with an extra pair of underwear and wet wipes for any unexpected period emergencies!
As moms, we know it’s not the most comfortable time of the month, but being prepared makes it a little better!
8. Floss
Pack a few floss picks in an emergency kit in case they get food stuck in their teeth and need to get it out!
9. Chapstick
No one likes the feeling of dry, chapped lips! Pack an extra Chapstick in the school emergency kit to avoid dry lips!
10. Brush
Keep a small hairbrush in the school emergency kit just in case your teen or tween needs to fix their hair while away from home! This will come in handy on windy days, ha!
