BEST TOYS TO KEEP TODDLERS BUSY:
1. Large Building Blocks
I love these giant building blocks because they are easy for toddlers to build with and take apart. These will keep your toddler occupied while you get things done. They are also great for building fine motor skills.
2. Building Block Table
My son had a similar table when he was a toddler, and it kept him busy while I washed dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. He loved it.
3. Wooden Blocks
These are one of the best toys to keep toddlers busy. My daughter would build towers, knock them down, and build them over and over again. Definitely, a toddler must-have.
4. Wooden Peg Puzzles
Love these puzzles! They still keep my daughter entertained for hours! I found that wooden peg puzzles are perfect for toddlers. The peg makes them easy to grab and put back in the correct spot.
5. Magnetic Tiles
I bought these for my kids a couple of years ago, and they are still obsessed with them. These allow your children to get creative and create so many cool things like animals, houses, and cars.
6. Mess Free Coloring
I love these mess-free markers! They only work on color wonder paper (or coloring sheets), and they will save your home from lots of scribbles. My kids have colored themselves, my couch, and car windows, so trust me when I tell you these markers are a necessity, ha.
If your child is a Bluey fan (like mine) they will enjoy these coloring pages.
I know my 5 year old also loves Peppa Pig, so I had to include this one as well. Coloring is a great way to keep your toddler occupied while you get things done, or if you need a moment to yourself.
7. Water Coloring Pad
This makes a great travel toy, and it is perfect to take on long car rides to keep your little one entertained. You simply fill the pen with water and use it to color the pages. Once the picture dries, your toddler can color it again. Another great mess-free coloring option!
8. Sorting Toys
As a mom of two, I have learned toddlers love sorting toys, and they will play with them over and over! This also makes a great educational toy because it teaches colors and sorting skills. It’s a win-win for parents!
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with Melissa and Doug toys. This wooden shape sorting cube is another great way to teach your child sorting, shapes, and colors.
9. Toys For Pretend Play
I love any toy that inspires pretend play and uses your imagination. This wooden fruit that cuts with a pretend wooden knife was a favorite among my kids. They had fun pretending to be chefs and playing “restaurant”.
This slice-and-bake cookie set is another well-made and cute toy for kids. If your toddler loves baking with you, they will love this play set!
I know how hard it can be to entertain a toddler all day, so I hope you found some good toy ideas to keep your little one busy!
